show Abstracthide AbstractThis work is a collaborative project aiming to broaden the scope of genomic resources for studying evolution in Family Drosophilidae. Sequencing was performed on a variety of sources, ranging from pools of flies from an inbred line to fresh and ethanol-fixed single wild flies. A Nanopore and Illumina hybrid assembly approach was taken to build the genome assemblies. For inbred lines, initial assemblies were generated from Nanopore sequences, polished with Nanopore reads, and finally with paired-end Illumina reads. For individual flies, diploid assemblies were generated from Nanopore reads that were corrected in a haplotype-aware manner with Illumina data.
